The City of Torrance, which covers roughly 21 square miles, is part of the South Bay and is located in southwest Los Angeles County. A municipality with the eighth largest population in LA County, the City is bordered on the southwest by one mile of beach, on the west by Redondo Beach, on the north by Lawndale, on the east by the Cities of Los Angeles’ Harbor Gateway, and on the south by the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Torrance has a charming downtown affectionately known to locals as “Old Torrance,” which has many amazing restaurants, shops, and Torrance High School, the site used as the high school in the popular 90’s TV shows, Beverly Hills 90210 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
